When choosing a builder, we encourage you to ask for references and insurance/licensing documentation. Also, be sure to get complete specifications on your custom-built home so you know exactly what you are getting and the cost for each specification. Lack of complete specifications on a bid does not allow for a fair comparison against another bid that is complete. These unprofessional practices allow some builders to underbid builders who believe in full disclosure.
